It would be nice if all the entire cuntry (all the states and cities) have the same laws and regulations. But that will put a lot of bureaucrats out of work!

Local bans and moratoriums are exactly why the state agency issues the permits for drilling.

Buddy2264 ... Yes, anything but plug ins or hybrids. Plug ins ie: EV's are losing propositions as has been proven, and hybrids will use what little corn we have this year for fuel. Thats a lose/lose situation. NEXT!

It is all for profit now both in gas and oil and how much we can ship out and not independence in the US or Canada. Or best best is an good alternative or plug in hybrid for now. Other suggestions?

Who the blank do they think they are? Just because they own some congress people and perhaps one or two Presidential candidates does not make them God!

Maybe corporations are people. Spoiled rich people that is. They sure are whining a lot, when they don't get their way.

If a town or county does not want a gas well within its borders it should not have to have one.

It's funny how many people here say things like, "Big Oil is pushing the state (or the locals) around." That's a bunch of nonsense. Most of these gas companies (including Lenape Resources) are very small companies. One might say "small businesses." People are just brainwashed by what the liberal media tells them. It really shows a lack of intelligence.

I think it is a good that these companies are starting to treat the local bureaucrats the same as they have treating the producers in the economy by threating to run rough-shot over them.

If the drilling industry can't follow the local zoning laws of cities and towns they should just go elsewhere. This driller sounds like an unethical bully in attempting to stomp on and over local laws.
