Yes. The biggest discipline you need to adhere to is the diet. Doing any workout/exericse routine is great yet if someone doesn't eat properly, you'll still be fat, flabby, & possibly overweight.

I started with P90 in June, then went to P90X. So far I've lost about 48lbs. Follow their diet plan and give all you can in the work-outs and it'll work. Like anything else, diet is key.
I'm going to do one more round of P90X then try Insanity.

It looks great if you're in shape, but impossible to do otherwise.

I know I'm late to this discussion, but I wanted to say that P90X does work, even if you are not already fit, after you finish the program, you will feel better than you did when you started :) We currently have a fit club in Fullerton where we frequently do a P90X workout. You could come check it out for free and see if it is for you!
Let me know if you are interested in more information.

I do not know what a P90X is all about. I'll have to look it up.

I've done it and it definitely works. I've been a athlete my whole life and it still very tough for me. You will need to get into the groove of working out and build up some endurance/strength stamina before starting this though. Toughest part is the schedule, hard to find/give a hour+ 7 days a week. If you stick with it and eat right (just as if not more important) you will see some good results.

My husband is in the Navy, and has a buddy that uses it. And he SWEARS by it. They actually made him in charge of the workouts they have, and he's serious about them too. He will do all the cross training that the P90X does.

I have used it on and off. The problem with the program is that you need to be able to commit yourself to it. I travel sometimes and that throws my plans off. BUT...it works and it works great when you can be on the program. I've actually was on it for 4 weeks straight one time and I noticed a VERY marked improvement. I didn't lose weight but I felt a lot better and I was able to crank out pushups and crunches like there's no tomorrow.
I still pop a DVD once in a while and do some X-Stretch or Yoga. My favorite is till AB-Ripper Plus though.
Also, when you start, take my word for it, do 1/2 the reps they want you to do at most (unless you're really fit). Otherwise you'll burn out quick. By the next week when you do the same routines again you'll notice that you can do A LOT more reps.
Good luck.

I saw the infomercials and considered it. The price is better on eBay from all the people who can't handle it. People who are a bit out of shape can handle it, but if you're obese it's just too aggressive.

I have a copy and it works but if you are really out of shape like me. You fill like your going to die that first week. So take your time do what you can and build from there. It combines cardo and weights

I'd like to do it. Thought I'd either get at the library or e-bay or someplace. For what am I going to shell out all that money?

I see it nightly. I have an infant that demands to be fed at 3 in the morning. I heard rumors from people. That it works but some girls who do it start to look to built and manly.
